Anyhow, for this Father's Day week, I have compiled some really cool stuff that has ranked high on the daddy / hubby 'wish list' poll I did the past week.
I must admit, most of the items here cost an arm and a leg. If you're on a budget but still want to give (or receive) any of these, then I suggest you save (or no gifts at all) on all the annual occasions (Father's day, birthday, anniversary, Christmas, etc.) to afford one big-ticket item at the end of the year that your spouse or father truly desires and would definitely appreciate. That's what J & I actually do.
So here are some great gift ideas to consider on Father's Day. It was not surprising that electronic products topped the list.
GADGETS AND ELECTRONICS
1. Wide Screen HDTV
No. 1 on the Daddy/Hubby Wish List random survey I've conducted among a bunch of my friends.
Samsung 55-Inch 1080p 240 Hz LED HDTV
Samsung 55-Inch 1080p 240 Hz 3D LED HDTV
Samsung LNT5265F 52-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV
And since the dads are on a wishing spree here, I'm quoting one dad who texted me thru his wife, that aside from a BIG TV, since this is just a wish, might as well add "a kick-ass home theater system" too!
We are very happy with our Samsung LCD like that first photo up top, but hubby wishes for a bigger one still! What is it with boys and their TVs? They can't seem to get enough and want to go bigger and bigger!
(The following items were also "wished", and in no particular ranking.)
2. Game consoles like XBOX, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii
PS3 250 GB Father's Day Bundle (with LittleBigPlanet and HDMI Cable)
Xbox 360 120GB Elite Spring 2010 Bundle
To complete the gaming experience, why not throw in the latest games in the gift bundle as well.
3. Apple iPhone 4g
(Pre-order starts June 15. Available on June 24 -- from apple.com)
4. Apple iPad Tablet
Apple iPad Tablet (64GB, Wifi)
Apple iPad Tablet (16GB, Wifi)
More than just a netbook, this revolutionary 9.7" high-res multi-touch screen delivers the news, emails, allows you to surf the net, read books and magazines, display albums, play music and video, and carry a host of applications waiting to be discovered.
5. Digital Camera
Panasonic Lumix GF1 Kit - 12.1MP Micro Four-Thirds Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera
If you don't want a bulky SLR, this Lumix GF1 is a great choice that earned rave reviews.
FASHION
1. Wrist Watch
Tag Heuer Grand Carrera Chronograph Watch
Omega Seamaster 300M Quartz "James Bond" Blue Dial Watch
A classic or rugged timepiece is always a wise choice.
3. Clothes & Accessories
Update his wardrobe with the latest trends. Or better yet, give him a fashion make-over (if he needs it) with his favorite clothing brands.
Plaid shirts are still in vogue, which ranks high in GQ's Top 10 Spring Essentials.
For the active man, a new set of sports apparel is going to be a winner.
World Cup 2010 Navy Hoodie
Adidas Singlet
Hip belts and sunglasses to complete his look:
Kenneth Cole REACTION Men's Waldorf Reversible Leather Belt
Ray Ban Aviator Titanium Sunglasses
4. Travel and Relaxation
Surprise your main man to a romantic getaway or adventure trip over the weekend, or simply book him a full body massage to de-stress and rejuvinate that hardworking body at a relaxing spa.
Gift or no gift, a quiet dinner or a mean breakfast in bed would surely put a smile on his face and make his day complete, especially spent with loved ones.
For the fathers, grandfathers, and husbands out there, have a great week and hope you get all your wishes!
This is my 3rd attempt to post a comment on this post. The word verification was not coming up.
